Free Shakespeare Performances at the Central Park Theater
Othello will begin the season running May 29th through June 24th. Shakespeare in the Park veteran and Tony Winner, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, will direct this production. This classic tragedy is set in the 17th century Mediterranean but remains relevant today with themes like love, jealousy, race, and revenge.
A musical adaptation of Twelfth Night starts on July 17th and runs for five weeks through August 19th. This Public Theater initiative celebrates five years of Public Works with a rotating lineup of diverse community members from all five boroughs. These Twelfth Night performances will feature music from renowned songwriter Shaina Taub highlighting love in all its disguises.

How to Enjoy Performances at Delacorte Theater
Performances take place nearly every day from the end of May through August. On select nights, partners can enjoy backstage dinners with the cast and crew. Sign language and captioned performances are also available on select nights.
To qualify for free tickets, sign up for the lottery at the Public Theater on Lafayette Street at Astor Place. Vouchers are distributed on the same day of performances in-person. You can also sign up for the digital lottery to win tickets online.
